RCCC sketches

Thank you everyone for coming by and saying hi at RCCC this year! I had a fantastic time. Here are some of the commissions I did.

Hope to see you next year too!

Golgotha Print for Rose City Comic Con

I made a new Golgotha print for upcoming Rose City Comic Con! I kind of felt adventurous and ordered it with shimmer cardstock this time, so it’s going to have this subtle shiny texture. I can’t wait to see how it comes out myself!

I thought it would be fun to post the process too, so here’s my rough sketch, pencil, ink, and color stages for this piece.

[Preview] Golgotha direct market edition

I’m happy to announce that the direct market edition of Golgotha will be available at stores this October! If you missed the Kickstarter campaign, you can still enjoy the book. This edition will come with Raffaele Ienco’s fantastic cover art.

You can check out the first 20 pages on Image’s website.

Ask your local comic store to order a copy (help your local comic book store!), or if you prefer, you can also pre-order it from Amazon. Digital version will be available at Comixology as well.

Updates – Golgotha (Top Cow) and GameSpace (PDP)

Lots have happened since I updated my blog last time!

First, I’d like to thank everyone for backing Golgotha Kickstarter hosted by Top Cow Productions. We’ve surpassed our original goal, and the long awaited book is coming to print soon!

Here are some sneak peeks we used during the campaign.

I’d like to thankMatt Hawkins and Bryan Hill for providing me with an epic-scale sci-fi script, as well as our colorist Bryan Valenza for beautiful color work (everyone should check out his work by the way, it’s amazing).

Now one campaign is over, I have another Kickstarter project that I’m very proud to be part of. My friend Josh Gorfain and I have been working on GameSpace, a prequel to indie hit comic “MeatSpace” for a while now. We’ve finally decided, with the help of Phoenix Dream Publishing, to do a Kickstarter to bring it to print. Plus, this campaign will also help fund MeatSpace Vol.2 (drawn by Sean Von Gorman) and the MeatSpace Universe Omnibus that will collect the entire series.

If you like any of our work, please support and share the campaign. We could really use some boost!

Thanks for coming to my show!

Thank you all for visiting my first exhibition at Sequential Art Gallery last month. The reception night was wonderful. I was so happy to see so many people there and to have a chance to talk about my art! Here are some photos from the reception night.

I’d like to thank Kaebel Hashitani and Merrick Monroe for putting together this amazing show. I hope to do it again in future.

Vagabond Brewing growler design

I had a wonderful opportunity to design the logo for this limited-edition growler for Vagabond Brewing, the fastest growing craft brewery located in Salem, OR. It was a lot of fun working with friends, and I feel honored to be able to help local businesses flourish.

Find more about the limited-edition growler and Vagabond Brewery on their official website.

New prints and commissions at RCCC 2015

Thanks for everyone who visited my table at yesterday’s Rose City Comic Con!

I had a couple of new prints for sale this time. One is based on characters from my original comic “Children of Loki.” I’m glad to see many people liked this piece 🙂

It was great catching up with old friends and meet new people! 🙂

I don’t have any more conventions planned for this year, as I’m working on a serial comic project at the moment. I’ll be sure to attend RCCC next year though!

Reward Print for “Dark Anna and the Pirates” Kickstarter

I had an honor of contributing my drawing to my friend Aaron Duran and Ethan Slayton‘s exciting new Kickstarter project “Dark Anna and the Pirates.” They will make it one of the reward prints for people who backed certain perks. The campaign was extremely successful (congrats!), and I’m looking forward to seeing their finished book! 🙂

Here’s the Dark Anna print I made for the project.
